Our family had the most wonderful experience at Storybook Village. From the very beginning, there was such a warmth and thoughtfulness to the school, and we always felt how deeply Ms. Nicole and the entire teaching team genuinely cared for the children.

Our son absolutely loved his time there. He was happy, curious, engaged and so excited to go to school each day, which, as a parent, is really everything you could hope for.

One of the things we loved most about Storybook was how much intention went into creating a beautiful little world for the children. We especially loved the Reggio Emilia approach and the way the teachers followed the children's natural curiosity, giving them the space to lead, explore and discover in their own way. What stood out to us was how genuinely the philosophy was put into practice. When a child had a challenge, the teachers brought the children themselves into solving it, rather than solving it for them. And the small, thoughtful solutions they built for the everyday moments of early childhood, like separation anxiety, were things a two, three or four year old could actually understand and hold onto. The goodbye window let our son watch us leave after drop off instead of carrying the uncertainty of not knowing. The shelf of family photos gave him somewhere to go when he missed us during the day. The pictures on the grandfather clock let him track the schedule and know exactly when pick up was coming. Small things, but they gave him real tools to cope on his own.

The teachers also spoke to the children genuinely and inclusively, never in a way that talked down to them. As a parent, it was eye opening. It showed us how much a young child is actually capable of understanding and participating in, if you give them the chance. It wasn't about doing less parenting. It was about doing more of it together, alongside him rather than around him. That shift reduced our anxiety and made us better parents.

And in many ways, we learned right alongside our son. Storybook encouraged us to slow down, observe more, and see the world a little more through his eyes, to trust his curiosity and give him more space to explore and find his own way. Those are lessons we've carried with us beyond the classroom and into the way we parent, and we're incredibly grateful for that.

But more than anything, it was the people. Our son was known, loved and encouraged to be himself, and we felt incredibly fortunate to have teachers who cared for him so genuinely during such an important time in his life.
